SUMMARY:Meditation and Reflection
DESCRIPTION:Our weekly meditation and sharing is open to the public. We wil
 l sit in silence for about 30 minutes\, take a quick break\, and then gath
 er for reflection and discussion of the insights and experiences of our li
 fe together and our practice.\nFurther information:\nIdeas for reflection 
 and sharing:\n\n 	Why are you drawn to the SM community and practice? What
  nourishes you? What do you like best?\n 	Is there anything you least pref
 er or something you would like to modify or add?\n 	Do you have any though
 ts or ideas of new practices you would like for us to explore or that you 
 think others might be interested in?\n 	Do you have any thoughts or ideas 
 regarding outreach for new members in the community who might be intereste
 d?\n 	Dawn Scott recently led us in an exploration of the nature and impor
 tance of spiritual friendship. Are you interested in this? Does our sangha
  promote spiritual friendship or what could we do to improve spiritual fri
 endships in our Sangha?\n\nFacts:\n\n 	We have not in recent memory listen
 ed to each other about or discussed our life and practice as a community
 —we have changed and the times have changed.\n 	Our general attendance h
 as dropped some\; no doubt relocation and a different venue has had an eff
 ect. We do have a faithful core group.\n 	It has been more difficult to re
 cruit volunteers although the response to tech needs has been encouraging.
 \n 	Our count of active teachers has significantly reduced which increases
  the responsibilities of the 3 active teachers.\n 	Although our financial 
 position is stable\, there has been a general decline in dana contribution
 s.\n 	We regularly have people asking to be on our email list but they rar
 ely show up on Sunday.\n\nWe meet in person\, but for those who prefer to 
 join us online a hybrid option via Zoom is available.  If you are unable 
 to attend either way\, the board is also collecting messages\, responses\,
  thoughts\, and ideas via email.  Alternatively\, you are invited to disc
 uss your ideas directly with any Board member or teacher.\n\nZoom informat
 ion is sent via email and is available on our website for logged-in users.
