SUMMARY:Return to Wholeness:  Embodying Wisdom and Love\, A six-session cou
 rse integrating Insight Mindfulness & Yoga teachings and practices.
DESCRIPTION:Meditation and yoga practices are designed to taking us from de
 ep silence into dynamic action and back again to profound stillness. Our i
 ntention for the course is that during our sessions we will experience thi
 s full range of body/mind stillness-to activity-and back to stillness.\n\n
 We hope that this program will enable you to see and feel your environment
 \, body\, mind and emotions from a deep fresh perspective—one that can f
 ind Joy in the perfection of imperfection of life\, one that become healin
 g and transformative.\n\nWhere: The fitness room in Turner Senior Center.\
 nWhen: On Wednesdays – April 23\, 30 May 7\,14\, 21 June 4 (We skip 5/28
 ).\nTime: 5:30-7:30 PM.\nTeachers: Julie Woodward\, mindful yoga teacher\,
  experienced psychotherapist and wellness coach.\nBilha Birman-Rivlin\, Ph
 D.\, Still Mountain Meditation Teacher.\nCost: Class is offered freely. Do
 nations are appreciated.\nPrerequisite: Experience with Mindfulness Medita
 tion and Yoga practices.\n\nThis course is limited to 15 participants.\n\n
 Julie Woodward\, MA\, MSW\, RYT-200 is a mindful yoga teacher\, experience
 d psychotherapist and wellness coach. In yoga classes and coaching session
 s\, Julie integrates the ancient wisdom traditions of yoga and meditation 
 with current research in neuroscience to offers students and clients an ap
 proach to greater wholeness through embodied practices. Current class offe
 rings include “Yoga for Resilience”\, a transformative journey through
  the experience of practices that activate the vagus nerve\, build self-aw
 areness and self-regulation\, and cultivate a greater sense of compassion 
 for oneself\, others and all of life.\n\nBilha Birman-Rivlin\, PhD is a lo
 ng-time practitioner and teacher of insight mindful meditation. For over f
 ifteen years she has been leading Insight Mindfulness classes and retreats
 . who has recently earned her PhD from the Theatre department at Wayne Sta
 te University where she wrote her dissertation on the creative process and
  the path of transformation.  Bilha feels that the path of insight medita
 tion and the Buddhist teachings has transformed her way of being in the wo
 rld\, and she takes great joy passing it on to others.\nRegister for all s
 ix sessions\nRegistration is required for this class and allows you to att
 end all six sessions.  The class is offered freely.  Donations are appre
 ciated.
