SUMMARY:It’s About Time We Came to Our Senses Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this silent meditation retreat exploring awareness 
 of the six sense doors and the perceptual information coming through them.
   Every sensation or thought that we experience comes to us through the f
 ive sense doors of hearing\, seeing\, smelling\, tasting\, and feeling sen
 sation plus in Buddhism the mind is considered the sixth sense door for th
 inking.  The exploration to become more aware of these 6 sense doors can 
 be fertile ground to notice their impermanent nature as they arise and pas
 s away. When we are attracted to their pleasant nature\, we may cling to t
 he experience and become caught in the cycle of conditionality causing us 
 stress and anxiety.   Guarding the sense doors helps us create the condi
 tions that support us from becoming overwhelmed by sensory input so we can
  move through life with more clarity and compassion.  We will offer exper
 iential practices to develop awareness of our senses during sitting and wa
 lking periods.\nThis retreat will be led by Still Mountain Teachers Curt F
