DESCRIPTION:\n\nStill Mountain Buddhist Meditation Center is sponsoring a s
 ilent meditation retreat March 27 to March 29\, 2026.\n\n \nMindfulness an
 d Equanimity: A Path to Peace with Dawn Scott\n \n\nThrough the practices 
 of mindfulness and equanimity\, the heart discovers a capacity for steadin
 ess and love\, which allows us to stay open to the challenges of our times
  without being broken by them.  During this silent retreat\, we will call
  on mindfulness to support the cultivation of equanimity\, a relational an
 d meditative ballast\, through guided meditations\, dharma talks\, one-on
 -one practice meetings with the teacher\, and periods of sitting and walk
 ing meditation. This retreat is open to all levels of experience and anyon
 e interested in the Buddha’s teachings of liberation\, wisdom\, and comp
 assion.\n\n \n\nDawn Scott has been practicing Insight Meditation since 2
 008 and served as the Family Program Coordinator for eight years at Spirit
  Rock Meditation Center.  She is a graduate of the Insight Meditation Soc
 iety’s 2017–2021 teacher training program\, a co-principal teacher of 
 Marin Sangha\, and is a core teacher of Spirit Rock’s Liberation\, Empti
 ness\, and Awareness Practices (LEAP) Program and the Barre Center for Bud
 dhist Studies and Insight Meditation's joint program\, Exploring the Hear
 t of Freedom.  Dawn has a deep love of long retreat practice and the Budd
 ha's liberative teachings.\n\n\n\nDetails and registration are available o
