Still Mountain is joining in support for the immigrant community by partnering with the Interfaith Fund for Immigrant Rights (IFIJ). This campaign aims to support the Michigan Immigration Rights Center (MIRC), a nonprofit legal resource center providing guidance and representation for immigrants and their families. As federal authorities increase their persecution of immigrants, MIRC’s resources are both widely needed and stretched thin. As people of faith, our traditions and communities call us to welcome the strangers, to break down the barriers between us, and to celebrate and embrace the divine dignity of every human person. Therefore, congregations across Washtenaw County are organizing to support MIRC’s critical work.

Here are some of the things MIRC could accomplish with the help of IFIJ:
- $100,000: Fund a full-time immigration attorney for one year.
- $70,000: Fund a paralegal for one year.
- $1,440: Pay for one Green Card Application fee.
- $250: Pay for one application for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status for an unaccompanied child.
In 2025, MIRC provided services on more than 560 cases in Washtenaw County, impacting more than 1400 people.
Your donation here will be collected by Still Mountain and forwarded in its entirety to MIRC. Please join us and other local faith groups in supporting this effort.
