Please join us for a celebration in honor of David Lawson on the one year anniversary of his death. We will gather on Tuesday, August 30 at Island Park Shelter B where David’s memorial was held. Come at 5 pm to socialize and mingle. Light refreshments will be available. The program will start at 5:30 pm and continue until the sharing is complete. We envision sitting with a circle of friends who have loved David and are so very grateful for the teachings and guidance that he shared with us.
Because of technical complications, we will not be able to offer a Zoom option. Our apologies to our sangha members who live farther away.
We will be under the roof of the shelter so we can meet regardless of inclement weather. The picnic tables will be arranged in a circle but if you have a more comfortable folding chair, please bring it along with you. There is plenty of parking close by. We will be by the river so consider dressing appropriately or bringing bug repellant.
You are invited to bring something to share such as a poem or a memory and flowers and other items to place on a small altar that will be in the center of the circle.
