March, 2026, Silent Meditation Retreat

Still Mountain Buddhist Meditation Center is sponsoring a silent meditation retreat March 27 to March 29, 2026.

Mindfulness and Equanimity: A Path to Peace with Dawn Scott

Through the practices of mindfulness and equanimity, the heart discovers a capacity for steadiness and love, which allows us to stay open to the challenges of our times without being broken by them.  During this silent retreat, we will call on mindfulness to support the cultivation of equanimity, a relational and meditative ballast, through guided meditations, dharma talks, one-on-one practice meetings with the teacher, and periods of sitting and walking meditation. This retreat is open to all levels of experience and anyone interested in the Buddha’s teachings of liberation, wisdom, and compassion.

Dawn Scott

Dawn Scott has been practicing Insight Meditation since 2008 and served as the Family Program Coordinator for eight years at Spirit Rock Meditation Center.  She is a graduate of the Insight Meditation Society’s 2017–2021 teacher training program, a co-principal teacher of Marin Sangha, and is a core teacher of Spirit Rock’s Liberation, Emptiness, and Awareness Practices (LEAP) Program and the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies and Insight Meditation’s joint program, Exploring the Heart of Freedom.  Dawn has a deep love of long retreat practice and the Buddha’s liberative teachings.

Registration Info

Registration is open to the public. Registration is required to attend and space is limited, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible.

We are using a new payment processor and registration management system called Zeffy. Registration is handled through their website. Zeffy offers their services freely, at no cost to Still Mountain (including no transaction fees). During the checkout process, you will be invited to donate to Zeffy to support their work. You are welcome to give one of the suggested amounts, a different amount, or to give no donation.

Online registration includes a minimum fee of $25, which reserves your spot in the retreat. Make sure you click “Add +” to register on the form if you want to attend. We also invite you to donate what you can to help us cover the costs. An additional donation of $320 will cover the expected cost of the retreat. If you would like to give more, any excess funds we receive will be reserved for the cost of future retreats.

Waitlist

Because space is limited, we are creating a waiting list for people who are interested but could not register. Add your name to the waiting list and we will contact you if and when space becomes available.
